Gainesville, Ga., November 27,2006 — Gainco, Inc. introduces the new DuraWeigh™ Line of Scales. The ideal weighing solution for harsh meat and poultry processing environments, DuraWeigh’s innovative scale design improves calibration accuracy, operating performance and equipment durability, while reducing equipment downtime, operating costs and simplifying sanitation and maintenance operations.

The ingenious suspended platform design of the DuraWeigh™ Heavy-Duty Floor Scale features a free-floating chain and rod system to protect load cells from the costly damage caused by forklifts and pallet jacks from daily use, and to hold accurate calibration longer. The low-profile, diamond-plate, skid-resistant ramp provides easy-on/easy-off weighing, with the ramp guides allowing for correct aligning on the weigh deck.

Built tough, the DuraWeigh™ Bench Scales are designed for general weighing, portion control and manual batching. The load cell features tension and compression overload stops that dramatically reduce load cell failure. Fast weighing response prevents production bottlenecks and improves productivity. Reliable accuracy and the ability to easily “zero” the scale help to minimize under weighing and product giveaway.

Now available with the DuraWeigh™ line of scales, the new Infiniti™ Weight Indicator is designed to thrive in the extremes of a meat or poultry processing. Cold work environments, hot chemical washdowns and high pressure washing do not affect the performance of the equipment. The need for double boxing, bagging or removing the indicator from the processing floor during washdown is eliminated.

The scales’ heavy-gauge stainless steel construction featuring continuous seam welds stands up to the rigors of the meat and poultry processing environment. High-and-dry overhead wiring plus a double NEMA-4X stainless steel enclosure for the scale’s controls provide better protection from moisture and chemicals during sanitation.

The DuraWeigh™ Scales carries a two-year limited warranty covering the entire scale unit and components. Through its Weigh Systems Service subsidiary, Gainco offers expert 24-hour, 7-day service on the DuraWeigh™ Scale plus all other makes and models of weighing equipment, distribution systems, software and wireless communications support.
