Birmingham, Oh., November 8, 2007 — Bettcher Industries offers a wealth of yield-enhancing benefits with its pacesetting Whizard® Series II trimmers.  By employing a variety of special blades and depth gauge devices – many of them absolutely unique in the industry – meat processors can achieve new record-setting results in yield enhancement and productivity.

Bettcher serrated blades make short work of these once-challenging applications, while at the same time reducing operator fatigue.  In fact, field testing demonstrates that using these serrated blades in conjunction with Bettcher Industries’ powerful Ultra Drive high-speed motor – featuring 5,000 rpm output and a nearly constant torque level – can reduce stress on the operator by 30% or more. 

Moreover, the serrated blades retain their sharpness approximately three times longer than standard blades, making them longer-lasting and easier to maintain.

Bettcher Industries has also developed a variety of depth gauge attachments for Whizard® trimmers that give operators more consistent control over the trimming action.  Depth gauges are adjustable according to desired specifications for trim thickness.  When using them, even less-skilled operators can trim consistent lengths and thicknesses – literally giving them the ability to “dial in” for optimum yields and product appearance.
