BETTCHER INDUSTRIES APPOINTS JIM WALLACE

DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICE GROUP

Birmingham, Oh., July 10, 2006 — Bettcher Industries announces the appointment of Jim Wallace as director of the company’s Food Service Group. As head of this business unit, Wallace will be responsible for managing equipment and products that are sold to the restaurant, quick-serve and deli segments. Among the product lines manufactured by Bettcher Industries for these segments are batter-breader machines for fresh, in-store preparation of breaded items, and Whizard® Power Knife tools for precision-slicing of gyros, shawirma and donner kabobs.

Wallace has an extensive background in the foodservice industry. Prior to joining Bettcher Industries, he was employed by Wells Manufacturing Company, a nationally known maker of built-in and countertop cooking and holding equipment. At Wells Manufacturing, Wallace served most recently as director of national accounts, responsible for the company’s business with key restaurant chain customers. He has 30+ years of experience in sales management and product development with several manufacturers of cooking systems for the commercial foodservice industry.
