Don’t throw the “content baby” out with the “SEO bathwater”
It’s no secret that one key to search engine visibility is having relevant content and keywords strategically sprinkled throughout your website. But some companies are going way overboard in these efforts – and in the process coming off as awkward sounding to “real” readers in order to appeal to search robots.
All of these efforts in architecture, copywriting, linking, social networking visibility, etc. make the web content appealing only to search engines, not people … which can backfire in the end.
Always remember who the real customer is, because at the end of the day, a robot’s not going to be the one purchasing your product or service!
